Class 3A Lower State Championship

Brookland-Cayce (19-7-2) will host South Aiken (17-4-1) in the Class AAA Lower State Championship Tuesday, May 18 at The Cage, 7:30 p.m.

The Bearcats and Thoroughbreds were co-champions of Region V-AAA and will battle for a berth in the Class 3A State Championship against the Upper State Champion (J.L. Mann/Eastside) this Saturday, May 22 at Memorial Stadium, 4:30 p.m.

Girls Defeat Myrtle Beach

Congratulations to the Lady Bearcats who defeated Myrtle Beach 2:1 on the road Wednesday night. B-C goals were scored by freshman Kacee Merritt and sophomore Noel McDaniel. The Lady Bearcats will either host Dreher or play at Hilton Head Island on Friday. Kudos to the girls for getting the job done on the road!

Class 3A Playoffs - Second Round

#5 Brookland-Cayce (17-7-2) will host #12 Socastee (11-7-2) at 7:00 p.m. in the Second Round of the Class 3A Playoffs at The Cage.

Class 3A Playoffs First Round

The Brookland-Cayce girls and boys varsity teams will host Lakewood in the First Round of the Class 3A Playoffs on Monday, May 10. The doubleheader will feature the girls at 6:00 pm (Senior Night recognition at 5:45 pm) and the boys will play at 7:30 pm.

B-C JV Capture Tourney Title

Congratulations to Coach Todd Wilkinson and the Brookland-Cayce JV boys team on winning the championship of the Irmo End of Season JV Tournament Black Division!

The JV team posted the following results in the tournament:

This is the third title for Coach Wilkinson in this tournament since 2006. The 2009 team won the Black Division, while the 2006 team captured the Gold Division title.
