Former Bearcat Injured and in ICU

Former Bearcat soccer player Cameron Harvey, who played on the JV team in 2003, was injured in a skateboarding accident on May 24 and has been in the intensive care unit at MUSC in Charleston.

From the CaringBridge.org website: Cameron was injured early Thursday May 24 in an accident involving a skateboard. He is in Neurosurgical Intensive care in MUSC in Charleston. His head injury is considered severe. The team of physicians and nurses in the ICU are the best. They give Cameron the kind of care anyone would want for their loved one. His surgeon is Dr. Tuite and Neurologist is Dr Chalela.

Summer Commitment Points

Points are accumulated via the following criteria: Summer Training; Plex Indoor Summer; Team Camp (RLSA/USC); Bearcat Soccer Camp; CRSA Advanced Training Camp.

Other opportunities to garner points in the off-season include: Advanced Soccer Class; Club Soccer; ODP; Plex Indoor Winter; and Winter Conditioning.

USC Elite Camp Recap

The following Bearcats participated in the USC Elite Camp July 20-22:

The "Columbus Crew" team posted a 3-4-2 record against very stiff competition including several collegiate bound players and some of the top prospects in the Southeast. Special thanks to our "guest players" that participated with B-C during the camp: Reed Bennett (Atlanta, GA), Joey Demare (Chapin HS), and Michael Lindsay (Starkville, MS). Lindsay will play for USC this fall.

The B-C Varsity team will attend Mark Berson's Elite Camp at the University of South Carolina July 20-22. All players that plan to attend should contact Coach Heise as soon as possible.

The B-C JV boys team is camping at the Ralph Lundy Soccer Academy on the campus of Christ School in Arden, NC July 1-5. The following Bearcats are in attendance:

The team will be trained by former B-C great Troy Lesesne (2001), who was named a Team Captain and an All-American at the College of Charleston, played professionally with the Charleston Battery, and is currently an assistant coach with the College of Charleston.
