B-C's Johnson, Lewis Named to NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-America Soccer Teams

Congratulations to Brookland-Cayce seniors Sarah Johnson and Taylor Lewis on being named to the NSCAA Scholar All-America Soccer Teams for 2009. They are the first Bearcats to achieve this outstanding honor! In order to qualify, players must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better (on a 4.0 scale), must have demonstrated excellence in soccer at the high school level, and must have performed service in his or her community. Nationally, only 35 boys and 36 girls are named to this prestigious All-American team. The players will be recognized at the NSCAA National Convention in Philadelphia, January 16, 2010.

NSCAA Team Academic Award

The Brookland-Cayce boys and girls soccer programs have once again earned the prestigious NSCAA Team Academic Award for 2009. The boys team, one of 12 prep teams in S.C. to earn this honor, posted a cumulative team grade point average of 3.42 and have qualified for this award for five consecutive years! The girls team tallied a 3.54 GPA and are one of 11 teams in the Palmetto State to achieve this distinction.
