Airport Ends B-C Postseason Run

Class 3A Quarterfinals
Brookland-Cayce 0:2 Airport

Thanks to all of the Bearcat Soccer supporters that turned out en masse for the Class 3A Quarterfinals. While we were disappointed that we did not get the result that we wanted, we sincerely appreciate the fine show of support that our fans gave us.

Congratulations to Airport on a fine game and good luck in the Lower State Championship match. Airport is one of the most improved sides that I have seen. Their staff and players are to be commended for their commitment to the game.

Also, kudos to the Bearcats on a solid run in the playoffs. I really feel that our boys pretty much overachieved all year as we only returned five players from a year ago and only three starters. At 15-9-2 and region runners-up, we consider this season a success and are proud of our team's overall body of work. We bid farewell to three seniors - Carlos Garcia-Williams, Rico Jackson, and Adam Keller and hope to return 13 varsity lettermen for 2010.

Congratulations to Coach Schroer

Congratulations to Coach David Schroer on his new job at Pine Ridge Middle School in Lexington School District Two. Coach Schroer will remain with the Bearcat Soccer program! Coach Schroer accepted the job after learning in late March that he was going to fall victim to the district's budget crunch and that his Social Studies job at BCHS was being eliminated.
