Congratulations to senior Brandon Boyd who has been selected by the USC College of Engineering and Computing to receive a 2008 Engineering and Computing Enhanced LIFE Scholarship (ECELS). This award supplements both the LIFE and University-level scholarships. The total of funds will cover tuition and fees for the 2008-2009 academic year. Assuming Brandon maintains eligibility for the LIFE Scholarship and makes satisfactory progress towards a degree in Engineering or Computing, the ECELS commitment will be renewed automatically to cover four academic years. Great job Brandon!
Cayce, SC - Brookland-Cayce shutout arch-rival Airport 2-0 at The Cage before a fantastic crowd Thursday night. Scoring a brace for the Bearcats was Brazilian exchange student Eduardo Adam on assists from German exchange student Christoph Holzwarth and senior Jose Guzman. B-C now owns a career record of 46-13-4 versus their district rivals and are 32-1-1 since 1987.
Cayce, SC -- Brookland-Cayce defeated region foe Strom Thurmond 8-0 at The Cage. This is the last meeting between the two schools as the Rebels will drop to Class 2A next year.

Aiken, SC -- Brookland-Cayce defeated Class 4A #12 Aiken 1-0 at Hagood Stadium. Brazilian exchange student Eduardo Adam scored the Bearcats lone goal in the 67th minute. Goalkeeper Chris Duzan recorded his eighth shutout on the season.

Brookland-Cayce Varsity will host the 19th Annual Bearcat Soccer Camp at Granby Education Center July 14-18 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The cost of camp is $65 and is open to boys and girls ages 5-14. Each camper will receive a t-shirt. Applications are available at Bearcat Soccer Camp Application.
Chapin, SC -- Class 3A #3 Chapin (16-3) scored just five minutes into the match and received ambiguous offsides call that resulted in a second goal to down region rival #8 Brookland-Cayce (11-5-1) and claim their second consecutive Region IV-AAA title. The Bearcats fought hard the entire match and had several opportunities to score, but came up empty and will likely finish second in the region.

Cayce, SC - Brookland-Cayce used two early second half penalty kick conversions by Brazilian exchange student Eduardo Adam to down Class 1A #1 Academic Magnet 3-0 in the first-ever meeting between the two teams at The Cage Tuesday night. Senior Robby Setzler added a third goal in the 77th minute and sophomore goalkeeper Chris Duzan turned in his most impressive outing of the year in registering his sixth shutout of the season. Class 3A #8 B-C improves to 9-4-1, while the Raptors fall to 8-2.
