Brookland-Cayce ranks #28 of 151 boys programs since 2001 in the Massey Power Ratings which includes all SCHSL classifications. B-C has collected a 27.71 ratings the last seven years. The Bearcats were rated #32 for 2007. A look at Class 3A over that span:
Brookland-Cayce will kickoff the 2008 season at the prestigious Carolina Soccer Classic. This will be the Bearcats 10th consecutive season competing in the state's premier preseason boys' prep soccer tournament, since the tourney was created in 1999. B-C has compiled a 14-16-3 (.470) overall mark in the CSC against some of the top teams from the Palmetto State. The Bearcats best finish was as Runners-Up in 2001, falling to Champion James Island via penalty kicks in the final.
Brookland-Cayce Bearcat Soccer would like to formally welcome three foreign exchange students that will be students at BCHS this academic school year. Also, a special thanks to their host families and we hope that all involved will develop special relationships and have a great year building memories that will last a lifetime.
Congratulations to Chris Duzan, Taylor Lewis, and Greg Stone and the rest of the Congaree Rapid RED90 U17 team that captured the tournament championship of the 32nd Annual Athens Invitational at Athens, GA. All three of these Bearcats will be sophomores in 2007-08.
Good luck to all Brookland-Cayce student-athletes as they begin another school year on Monday, August 20th.

The 2008 Alumni Match will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m. at The Cage. There will be an Alumni Dinner on Friday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m. (site to be determined) for all Alumni to gather and have a good time.

The European Trip for 2008 has been canceled due to a lack of interest amongst our prospective players. Thanks to those who had committed, but I had to let Harvard Sports Management know something via phone this afternoon.
