Bearcats dominant in rout of Swansea

Taylor Lewis records second consecutive hat-trick in 10-0 win

SWANSEA, SC - Brookland-Cayce opened Region 4-3A play with a resounding 10-0 victory at Swansea Tuesday evening.

Sophomore Taylor Lewis notched his second straight hat-trick while senior Chris Pinner and junior Cristoph Holzwarth added braces in the win. Other Bearacts finding the back of the net included: Josh Davis; Greg Stone; and Tyll Weyer.

The starting back line of seniors Brandon Boyd, Tim Duzan, and Robby Setzler, along with net-minder Chris Duzan combined for the Bearcats' fourth shutout in five contests. In fact, B-C has allowed only one goal in 410 minutes of action this spring for an average of 0.20 per match.

B-C (5-0, 1-0) will host Swansea (0-8, 0-1) on April 15 at The Cage. Brookland-Cayce owns a 4-0 lifetime mark vs. their Lexington County rivals.
